Regional Land Use Strategies Review

The Regional Land Use Strategies (RLUS) guide strategic land use and development across Tasmania’s three regions.

Since the RLUS were first created in 2011, some changes have been made to the Tasmanian planning system. Conditions within the regions have also changed, such as population growth and housing availability and it is important that the RLUS help guide what future Tasmania looks like. This means that it’s time to review and update the RLUS.

The Tasmanian Government, regional bodies and councils have been working together on a full review of the three existing RLUS.
