We are investigating three potential freight routes from Brighton to Cambridge.

The options are:

  • Option 1 - Tea Tree Road, Back Tea Tree Road, Malcolms Hut Road, Richmond Road/Cambridge bypass.
  • Option 2 - Tea Tree Road, Middle Tea Tree Road, Colebrook Road and Richmond Road/Cambridge bypass.
  • Option 3 - Tea Tree Road, Colebrook Road, and Richmond Road/Cambridge bypass.
  • Option 4 - None of the routes above are preferred.

We want to look at the pros and cons of these routes and use this information to improve Tasmania’s freight network and road conditions for all users. This study will assess the feasibility, advantages, and disadvantages of these routes, as well as considering the current route. The study will include an assessment of the current road conditions and upgrades required on each route to make them a viable option.

Your views will help inform our investigations and future work on any preferred route, gathering insights that will supplement the technical studies.
